On Wednesday 16th August, McKay Drilling in partner with Clontarf Academic Foundation were invited to attend and proudly assist with the largest basketball carnival that Clontarf have ever ran.
We were able to recognise a lot of talent, basketball skills and sportsmanship displayed throughout the day by the Year 11 & 12 boys.
The carnival consisted of 24 teams, teams even travelled from as far as Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Esperance to be a part of the day.
The highlight of the day was the lunch break partners shoot-out competition, the atmosphere was great with the boys gathering around to cheer us on and our very own Andrew McGrath (Growler) came 2nd, next year he is determined to win!
The boys were happy to receive McKay Drilling hats & some sweet treats as we felt they had to be rewarded for their efforts for the day.
The Clontarf Foundation does great work for young indigenous boys. McKay Drilling are incredibly proud to be given the opportunity to also support them through our engagement and be a part of these great events.
