On Wednesday 14th February, McKay Drilling were invited to join Year 12 Clontarf Academy students from Perth, Northam, Kalgoorlie and Esperance for a special morning tea at the Clontarf Foundation central office.
This event is an integral part of the two day leadership camp, where the academy students explore the theme of “setting the foundations for the rest of your life” focusing on leadership, teamwork, goal setting and building camaraderie amongst the group.
Brenna Mulder, our Operations Site & Recruitment Administrator got to speak with the students heading into Year 12 about the importance of completing the last schooling year, why completing Year 12 was important to them and what they are hoping to achieve once they finish school.
We also heard from 2023 Clontarf Academy graduate Malakai Champion, who spoke about his experience and how completing Year 12 has presented opportunities for him that he wouldn’t have been exposed to had he not completed Year 12 and had the support of the academy.
We wish all the Year 12 Clontarf Academy students the best of luck with their last year of school and exams.
