This program is FREE* for jobseekers, youth (under 25) and concession students.
One-day induction
You will attend a one day induction program, to familiarise yourself with the duties of a driller’s offsider and the requirements to succeed in the role.
Two weeks of training
You’ll gain job ready skills, including how to:
- apply first aid and CPR;
- work safely at heights; and
- operate and maintain a four-wheel drive vehicle.
The training will provide you with entry level skills to safely work on site, and can lead to employment opportunities in drilling.
Employment and traineeship opportunities
By completing the Driller’s Offsider Job Ready Program, you may be connected with an employer to commence employment or start a traineeship in drilling operations.
